Kelsie Kimberlin is a proud Ukrainian American singer known for her strong vocal abilities and songs about issues that have an impact on the world. She is an international artist and also an activist: earlier this year, she traveled to Colombia, where she filmed two new music videos, and after that to Ukraine, where she engaged in humanitarian work and filmed more music videos in support of Ukraine.

Now, Kelsie Kimberlin presents her latest single, ”We Are The Promise,” a song about ordinary citizens opposing authoritarianism. With a cinematic orchestral score written by the great Ukrainian composer and film director Sergiy Krutsenko and performed by the Kyiv Radio Symphony Orchestra, and a powerful video filmed in various iconic locations around Ukraine, this song is not only a metaphor for the actions of authoritarian regimes around the world, but also, in a sense, is a prediction of the processes that have been occurring in Russia, Afghanistan, Iran, and other authoritarian countries.

“We Are The Promise” was released on all music platforms on January 8, 2024, on the anniversary of the death of Kelsie’s friend and mentor, Sergiy Krutsenko. She dedicated the video to him, as well as the famous Ukrainian actor, Oleksandr Zhukovin, who stars as the dictator in the video and is today serving in the Ukrainian Armed Forces fighting on the front lines in one of the most dangerous regions of Ukraine.

The Kelsie Kimberlin Foundation, www.KelsieKimberlinFoundation.org, is collecting donations to rebuild Ukraine, provide medical care and rehabilitation to war victims, and gain further support for Ukraine, including musicians such as Jamala who are targeted for using their music for the greater good. #JamalasVoiceOfFreedom.
